DesignPlus is one of the most prestigious awards given to products that stand for design, research, innovation and environmental sustainability, and takes into account the worldwide quality standards adopted internationally.

Messe Frankfurt and the “German Design Council”, sponsors of this prestigious competition, have once again assessed 145 companies participating in the selection with 254 products.

The prize was awarded at the last ISH edition on the 15^th of March and displayed at the exhibition.

Azzurra Sanitari has received the coveted award with POOL wash basin, designed by Marti Guixè.

Contemporary, eclectic, fascinating: that's Pool, and so is the mind of whom conceived it. Its unconventional point of view interprets simplicity as an expression of quality.

"Pool represents a new kind of washbasin: it is square, in metal, therefore rejects the idea of  conventional washbasins which is possible to find in standard bathrooms. It can be easily placed outside, in offices, studios, bars, public and private places. Hence, in any context. Thanks to its intrinsic qualities and its white colour is naturally suitable for more contemporary  bathrooms."(2010, Guixé Martí)

Pool is made of steel, a 100% recyclable material, and mat white finish lacquered with epoxy powder. The towel-holder peg is in teak, as well as the internal shelves, which are optional.
