a solid background of thirty years experiences in vitreous – china sanitary wares field and a completely renewed corporate image: AZZURRA takes part in the Cersaie 2008 with a new “soul” maintaining the whole principles and the historical roots of the company and following the continually changing tendencies. A choice for changing which does not concern the quality of the production but the purpose is to create the new AZZURRA which is contemporary, open to the market and able to face its requirements.
The creative drive has been given by the studio “angeletti ruzza design” that with passion, care and elegance accept the challenge for the repositioning of AZZURRA, working not only on the new collections but also planning the lines of the renewed, coordinate image.
“A colour has been a great source of inspiration: grey. Grey is a contemporary colour, it is the colour of metropolis, the colour of industry but also the colour of science fiction. Grey is moderate, yielding and in motion: it could be sparkling like minerals or dull like rock or stones. Each gradation of grey as pearl, leaden ,slate, steel, silver, cement shows different atmospheres and scenarios making it a creative, neither masculine or square colour, but it is expression of personality, sobriety and sensuality. Grey is also the space of the new stand and the choice to print catalogues on a non-glossy paper gives an intimate and soft image and most of all the new ceramic products with pure and normal shapes which seem necessary and absolute. Thinking at the ceramic products under a modern point of view, means to agree with the demands of new generations who remember the past without nostalgia or subjection and who live the rituality and the attitude of the house and of the bathroom in a different way.”

Nuvola, Tandem, Tulip, new furniture washbasins, the holder furniture of match series and the shower trays Ghost are the “protagonists”of the stand AZZURRA for Cersaie 2008. This year the stand is a space with enlarged measurements and renewed contents.
The atmosphere is basic, intimate and nearly spare. The absolute protagonist is the northern cold light which extol the ceramic material making it thick and dense. But the rigour is only apparent because the space becomes warm and natural thanks to two wide wood wall.
