Paolo Ulian was born in Massa in 1961. He gets a diploma in industrial design in 1990 to I.S.I.A. IN Florence. He wins the international award “ Design for Europe” to the fair “Interieur90” in Kortijk. From 1990 up to 1992 he works as assistant to the studio of Enzo Mari in Milan. In 2000 he attends the “Salone Satellite” in Milan, where he wins the first award of “Design Report Award” which has been sponsored by the german magazine “Design Report”. In the same year he attends the Biennale Of Saint Etienne in France. Since 2000 he has been attending to exhibitions of Droog Design dressed during the “Salone del Mobile” in Milan. In the same year he wins the first award at the “Dedalus/ Abet Laminati European Award” in Italy. Since 1993 he is present with his designs to many collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad and he has worked with several companies: Driade, Indarte, View, Sensi & C, Progetti, Fontana Arte, Seccose, Luminara, BBB Emmebonacina, Zani & Zani, Droog Design, Ceramiche Ragno, Azzurra Ceramica.
