The Tandem project by Paolo Ulian for Azzurra has won the IF product design award 2009, the international award that since 1954 has been one of the most important competition of design field and it will be included in “IF yearbook product 2009”, a book with all the prize winning products of the International Forum Design.

 

Paolo Ulian interprets in a personally the washbasin space suggesting a free way to live the house and far from the fixed projects it can be settled in every place. Tandem invites to have a new attitude and it has several and personal use( basket for cleaned underwear and household linen, holder for dirty clothes, basket….).

 

“Into the bathroom, explains the designer, the washbasin and the wastepaper basket are two typologies which strictly meet. It’s for this reason that the wastepaper basket is often placed to the space which remains empty under the washbasin. The project “Tandem” has arisen observing this funny synergistic relation that sometimes is extablished among the objects and in this project the washbasin includes a lacquered white polyurethane removable wastepaper basket which, for its generous sizes, can be used also as laundry basket provided with two handles.”
