The new “Thin” collection will be presented at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, and has already received a prestigious international prize: the Good Design Award.
The historic international award was established, among others, by designers Eero Saarinen and Charles & Ray Eames, and is one the most notable and important awards of the sector worldwide. It recognises designers and manufacturers for creating innovative and original ideas and for their ability to go beyond the traditional product and design standards.
Out of the hundreds of entries from all over the world, the jury, made up of architects and authorities of the design world, announced the success of the “Thin” collection by AZZURRA. In addition to the excellence of a design which pursues a lightweight “technical expression”, AZZURRA has achieved a target that seemed impossible: performing a full flush using up to 2.7 LITRES of water in accordance with the requirements for Class 2 WCs laid down by regulation EN 997 (EUROPEAN STANDARD FOR WCS AND WC SUITES).
For AZZURRA, investing in research and development of solutions aimed at reducing water consumption to a minimum has become an unquestionable duty as well as a civil and personal responsibility to ensure a decent quality of life for future generations.
