The WENICE project: artistic ceramics converse with the art of glass
The partnership between Azzurra Ceramica and architect Marco Zito began in 2015, the year in which a strategic path was launched aimed at redefining the role of bathroom furnishing elements.
This consolidated collaboration with the designer and winner of the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award is based on the perfect convergence of two distinct manufacturing excellences: on the one hand, Azzurra’s historic expertise and authority in ceramic processing, and on the other, Marco Zito’s profound experience and artistic sensitivity in the field of glass working.
The synergy between these two techniques gives life to three lines of washbasins that enrich the Azzurra Art project: Otto, Toro, and Tondo. The Tondo line, in particular, is embellished with three handmade decorations: Bolle, Rigadin, and Sfumato.
The result of this exclusive synergy will be officially unveiled to the public at CERSAIE 2026, the world’s leading event for the ceramics and sanitaryware sector.
